Chipotle & Orange: 5,000-10,000 scoville
This is the O.G. of sauces at La Comida Montreal. Created for latin food like tacos and arepas, but also gives a BBQ vibe, so great in BBQ sauce, beer can chicken, etc. Delicious and smokey with notes of sweetness from orange and honey, this hot sauce is versatile with a little bit of bite. Ideal on ALL food!
(Ingredients: chipotle in adobo, orange juice, onion, organic cider vinegar, organic honey, sea salt, spices)
Jalapeño, habanero & tomatillo: 30,000-50,000 scoville
Our jalapeño hot sauce is a classic Mexican salsa verde, with a little kick at the end from the habaneros, and slightly fresher than most on the market due to the tomatillos. Perfect to add on tacos, fish, eggs – anything if you can handle the heat!
(Ingredients: jalapeno, tomatillo, habanero, onion, garlic, lime juice, white vinegar, sea salt, organic honey, water, spices)
Thai Chili & Banana Pepper: 30,000-50,000 scoville
Our Thai Chili & Banana Pepper sauce is our Louisianna style sauce (similar to franks red hot sauce if you will). Very unique flavor profile due to the mix of these peppers and the fermentation with a good kick of garlic and vinegar. This is definitely a put-on-everything sauce!
(Ingredients: thai chilis, banana peppers, white vinegar, garlic, sea salt)
Blueberry & Scotch Bonnet : 100,000-350,000 scoville
Though blueberries are not Caribbean, this hot sauce is a traditional caribbean recipe that we’ve adapted with Quebec blueberries and Scotch Bonnets. This sauce is much sweeter in the beginning, and the creeping heat of the scotch bonnet catches up with you by the time you think you’re safe. This hot sauce has quite a kick, with a lovely fruity roundness.
(Ingredients: scotch bonnet, blueberries, orange juice, green onion, organic cane sugar, lime, white vinegar)
Pineapple & Habanero: 100,000-350,000 scoville
This hot sauce has more kick than our other ones. Habanero is a more floral pepper, so the heat is immediate, and more nasal. Created for jerk chicken and grilling in the summer, but fantastic with asian food because the pineapple marries well with soy. It’s great on just about anything that can take the level of heat with the touch of sweet. Also amazing on chicken tacos, fish fillet, pork loin and even veggies.
(Ingredients: habanero, onion, pineapple, garlic, white vinegar, lime, sea salt, spices (mustard))
